PERAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH DALAM MENDUKUNG EKSISTENSI TRANSPORTASI LAUT GUNA MENINGKATKAN KELANCARAN SIRKULASI BARANG DAN ORANG DI KECAMATAN KAMPUNG LAUT KABUPATEN CILACAP

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of sea transportation in supporting the flow of goods and people in the District of Kampung Laut in Cilacap Regency. The source of information used in this study was through a number of respondents from one of the villages in the Kampung Laut Sub-District closest to the ferry port. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods by describing the characteristics and conditions of research subjects and by analyzing data obtained descriptively. The results of the analysis of the data obtained made the researchers conclude that the development of the construction of the crossing port in Cilacap Regency had a role in increasing the number of traders or people carrying out economic activities around the port, which resulted in an increase in community income, as well as the flow of goods and people which could be seen from the increasing number of passengers and the amount and type of goods transported via the Seleko port route to Kampung Laut District, because it is now easier for people to go to Kampung Laut District or vice versa.
