PENGARUH KANDUNGAN AIR PADA AMPAS TEBU TERHADAP EFISIENSI KETEL UAP DI PABRIK GULA MADU BARU YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Bagasse is a solid fiber out of the last mill, after the milking juice process which is a waste of the processing of sugar cane and is aprimary fuel in steam power plant in the sugar factory. Bagasse are used in almost all sugar mills in Indonesia as boilers fuel. Bagasse has a water content varied for each period milled. The content of each componentis expressed in percentage of sugar content (bagasse pol) arecarried in bagasse and water content. This study discussesthe effect of water contenton the bagasse to it scalorific value. Due to the water contained in the bagasse will be the burden of the existing heat. Calorific values obtained fromthe efficiency boiler, so hopefully with a high calorific value fuel can raise the efficiency of steam boiler. From the research shows that the bagasse pollevels will affect the water content of the bagasse. The higher levels of bagasse polwill raise bagasse water content. From the results ofthe analysis indicate that the water content of the bagasse affect to boiler efficiency, as well as the levels of sugar are shipped bagasse polal though the effect is not too significant to the boiler efficiency in a sugar factory.
